Every year when the weather begins to turn more favorable, people start spending more time outside engaging in activities like sports and exercise. They no longer have to risk illness to get their workout in and can discard all the bundled-up layers in favor of more breathable clothes. Contrastingly, it’s also a chance to dress up for formal or more causal events. With warmer temperatures, no one has to worry about checking their coats or needing a sweatshirt in case it gets cold. Spring and summer offer an opportunity to dress exactly how you want without needing to focus on outside factors.
Set up your menswear
With summer sports starting up, guys are going to be looking for new outfits to practice and train in. They’ve been waiting almost a year for the conditions to turn and are ready to burn off all that energy gathered up from a winter of inactivity.
Let customers know what you have for them by setting up some store displays with everything they’ll need for summer pastimes, from running shoes to sweatbands. This is a good time to assemble your mannequins in active poses to simulate the routines some of your shoppers will be doing on a day to day basis. Though exercise clothing can often be pretty bare, use all the accessories you can to fully flush out the display. Position them in your windows or at the front of the store to let everyone know it’s almost time to start sweating again.
If you wanted to showcase your more formal clothing too, you can set up a parallel across of your more energetic exhibits. Mirror the mannequins with some wearing your dress coats and formal pants to show both sides of the styles this season will bring. This will instill anticipation in passersby to further some of their personal fitness goals while also allowing them to plot the possibilities of some of the more formal parties and events they might be looking forward to.
Prepare them for everything
Keep store racks stocked with your seasonal clothing next to the appropriate displays at all times. There is a lot that can be done outside all of sudden, so it’s important to try and make it as organized as possible by separating the activities as best you can.
Beachwear can have its own section since the masses will start looking for those items specifically once it gets hotter. Keep sandals apart from your other shoes by arranging them on their own shoe racks to make it easier for customers to find them.
Don’t forget to scatter smaller items around all of the clothing that can be used in tandem with them, such as sunglasses, hats, watches and even sunscreen. Accessories can easily be forgotten, so it’s best to give your shoppers a reminder before they get home and realize they forgot something.
Everyone will be excited for spring and summer. They’ll all be looking to don a fresh look this year as revitalizing as the nature around them. Luckily, you can help them with that. All you have to do is let them know it with your store displays.
